This 4.5 hour semi-structured retreat at Mother Lion (Bay View, WI) is a gentle space to rest and tend to your root chakra, the energetic center of safety, stability, and belonging through a blend of:
Nature based ritual practice - Welcome the spring enquinox through guided intention setting, and honoring the seasonal transition from deep winter to spring awakening
Vedic astrology & root chakra teachings - understanding how cosmic patterns mirror our need for grounding and security
Neuroscience of safety - how the brain and nervous system respond to chronic uncertainty, and how we can soothe them
Ear seeding (auricular acupressure) - using tiny seeds on specific ear points to support calming, grounding, and sleep
Gentle, floor-based yoga + Sound bath - accessible practices to anchor into your legs, feet, and pelvis
Meditation with Havening and imaginal guidance - tactile, rhythmic touch to calm the brain paired with a guided journey into your inner sanctuary

Mother Lion is a one-level home with a bright four-season room with lounging couches and a fireplace, a lush dining room, a cozy living room with a fireplace, two bathrooms - one with a clawfoot tub and shower, a fully functioning kitchen, and landscaped backyard with a hot tub, and a sauna. Mother Lion holds plenty of incense, linens and bedding, robes, towels, sandals, spring water, street parking, and one garage parking spot available with advance notice.



Mao Beckett, she they, LCSW, LICSW, is a second-generation Cambodian American and the founder of Reset and Resilient Wellness.As a liberation-centered, somatic-spiritual therapist and guide, Mao weaves ancestral healing traditions with neuroscience, highlighting the brain’s innate capacity for neuroplasticity and repair. Rooted in a lineage of Kru Khmer healers, she supports individuals in healing relational wounds, unlearning internalized oppression, and cultivating deeper connection with body, land, and community.Mao’s work nurtures spaces where individual and collective healing can flourish and be grounded in love, joy, and compassion.
Mary Frances, she/her, is a guide, teacher, and practitioner whose work bridges Vedic wisdom, energy medicine, and practical human transformation.With a background in Reiki, Jyotish, meditation, and strategic consulting, she helps people understand themselves more deeply and build lives rooted in greater clarity, steadiness, and alignment. Her teaching is grounded, compassionate, and oriented toward real integration — bringing ancient frameworks into lived experience in a way that is both accessible and deeply resonant.
